Lori Dansby is an all around terrific triple threat. Since the age of three Lori “Ladi” Dansby was voracious with attributes of becoming a “Super Star”. She sang and danced for family & friends songs by Betty Write and Regina Bell with no intimidation. Through her grade school years she participated in everything from piano lessons to the booster club. Continuing on engaged in extracurricular activities through her school years, she led many of the teams she was a part of.
Lori “Ladi” Dansby has been tuning and training her vocal talents for an accumulative eight years. She has studied with some of Houston’s finest voice and style coaches including Tom McKinney, Freeda Malone and Montina Cooper to mention a few. She sang in the church choir since age seven, moving on to become a soloist and working with a Houston based mass choir.
Volleyball, step teams, majorette, twirler and Neal-Hamel and Millennia Centre for Modeling and Acting are some of the main activities and organizations that contribute to Lori’s innate ability to grasp attention when on stage. These activities require up-beat, bright, focused and durable energy when executed.
While pursuing her career she was privileged to work with and for Sylvester Turner’s campaign for mayor and Mayor Lee Brown’s resignation party. Ladi participated in B.A.S.E. Productions annual Motown Review and More where she was given the honor of opening the mass four day, four hour production.
Since then Lori “Ladi” Dansby’s face, name and talents have been connected with companies and stages such as: American Idol 2003, Great Caruso Dinner Theatre, Express Children’s Theatre and Houston’s Silver House Theatre.
Currently Ladi is involved in an artist development project with Music World Music Entertainment. The project has allowed Lori, along with other young ladies, to develop an ear for harmony, learn to blend with other voices and amplify her performance on the stage.
